VP Marketing & Delivery
Why do you love your job?
I am honored to have worked for Yousef since 2006. He has taught me every part of the business, allowed me to see firsthand the daunting challenges, and taste the sweet successes of being an entrepreneur. I love my job because I’m constantly learning.
What’s your earliest techie memory?
I worked with one of our technical gurus Raed Al-Jawad to document our agile development process back in 2007. It was long, but worth the investment because it was my first real effort to understand what I was marketing and selling. Thanks Raed.
If you could pick a superpower or be a superhero what would you choose?
I’m always wishing I had more time. I want to be like Evie from Out of This World and able to stop time. Ok. I just seriously dated myself. ☺
Favorite website (entertainment)
Favorite website (professional)
“The Google.” I know it’s generic, but I use it every. single. day.
If you had to abandon your current job what would you choose?
I would choose a new job doing exactly what I’m doing now—constant challenges and opportunities to learn from really smart, passionate people.
What gets you up in the morning?
Most people are 75% water. I am at least 50% coffee.
What keeps you up at night?
A good book that I can’t put down.
Live to eat or eat or live? If you live to eat, what would be your last meal?
I without a doubt live to eat. For my last meal I would probably choose ramen and beg for Hane sushi made by my fave chef. I know, I know: That’s technically two meals.
What are the top three items on your bucket list?
My list changes all of the time. I plan to climb Machu Picchu, finish a trail half marathon in under 2 hours, and finally learn to swim straight in the ocean. I can only seem to do it in a pool with lines!
What do you think it takes to be a great developer?
Whether you are a barista, engineer or artist I believe greatness is rooted in passion. Humility and understanding that there is so much that you don’t even “know that you don’t know,” and a love for learning means you’ll always get better.
With whom do you like to work?
I like working with people who are smart; really, really smart and without an ego to get in the way. Being funny helps too, especially when you’re working on a tough problem together. Sometimes you just have to laugh at the situation you’re in, look to each other with true respect, and roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
With what type of client do you like to work?
I love working with smart clients. We are fortunate to serve organizations that we have an opportunity to learn from. It’s really cool because we work together to learn and improve as one team.
What’s your spirit animal?
Ramen. Ok. Maybe coffee. Ok, those aren’t animals, but I do call upon coffee in times of trouble. Admit it. You do too.
